Questions Swirl Around Alleged Pfizer Director Captured In Project Veritas Sting

A sting operation by Project Veritas is raising questions about the work and standing of an alleged Pfizer research director seemingly caught on hidden camera spilling COVID secrets and then having a meltdown when confronted later.

In the undercover video footage, apparently recorded under the guise of a date at a restaurant, a man identified as Jordon Walker divulges that the company has considered mutating COVID-19 through “directed evolution” in monkeys to develop new vaccines. Project Veritas identifies Walker as Pfizer’s director of research and development, strategic operations – mRNA scientific planner.

The shocking first video garnered nearly 20 million views after its release Wednesday night. In a follow-up video, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe confronts Walker, who calls himself a “liar” who apparently made up the stories to try to impress a person with whom he thought he was on a date. He also denies that anyone is trying to mutate a COVID virus.

As O’Keefe peppers him with questions, Walker insists he is “not even a scientist by background … I came from a consulting firm that does business.” Asked whether he works for Pfizer, Walker says, “No, I was a contractor!” Pressed again, this time on whether he currently works for Pfizer, Walker replies, “No! What are you talking about here?”

Despite his denials, Walker’s apparent LinkedIn profile, which appears to have been deleted, and images of “internal” Pfizer documents shared on Twitter by O’Keefe suggest otherwise. Walker is listed as being a Pfizer “director of research and development, strategic operations, and mRNA scientific planning.”

The Daily Wire sought to clarify Walker’s employment status, requesting comment from Pfizer, as well as two firms — the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and IQVIA (formerly QuintilesIMS) — where he is also listed to have worked. Pfizer did not respond, and has not commented publicly to any other news outlet about the sting. A spokesperson for BCG confirmed Walker “briefly” worked at the firm, but he left in June 2021 and has not been involved with BCG since that time. IQVIA did not immediately return a request for comment.

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, host of the highly rated cable news show “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” on Thursday referred to Walker as a “high-level Pfizer executive.”

“More than anything, you’ve got questions,” he said. “What was that? This guy’s a pretty high-level Pfizer executive confirming a lot of things you already suspected and telling you things you had no idea were going on.”

Carlson said his team called and emailed Pfizer, posing “very basic questions,” including about Walker’s employment status, “but despite their famously well-funded PR department, all the lobbying money they spend, they did not get back to us. They refused to answer.”

The Daily Wire also reached out to Project Veritas for clarity on when the footage was recorded. The group said the video was taken within the last few weeks.

If Walker is indeed privy to Pfizer’s research operations and what he stated in the undercover video turns out to be true, the company will have a lot to answer for. The “exploratory” work described by Walker could constitute gain-of-function research, though Walker characterized it as “directed evolution.” Gain-of-function research, in which viruses are manipulated to become more dangerous, has become the subject of intense scrutiny in recent years amid suspicions that a leak from a lab in Wuhan, China, was where the COVID-19 outbreak began.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) responded to the video by sending a letter to Pfizer Chairman and CEO Albert Bourla demanding information on its research.

“As has been proven time and time again, attempts to mutate a virus, particularly one as potent as COVID, are dangerous,” Rubio said. “If the claims detailed in the video are true, Pfizer has put its desire for profit over the concern of national and global health and must hold itself accountable.”
