Congress could release the more than 14,000 hours worth of Capitol police security tapes relating to the January 6 riot as soon as this week, an apparent promise made by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to the 20 holdouts in exchange for their support. The Speaker detailed how that might be done on Sunday.

Two Planes Almost Collide At JFK Over The Weekend

Federal authorities are investigating how two commercial planes nearly collided on the runway at New York’s JFK airport Friday evening. One plane was barreling down the runway for takeoff as another flight crossed its path, forcing air traffic controllers to order the departing plane to come to an abrupt halt.

A $10 million statue honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott was unveiled in Boston this weekend, but the installment quickly generated controversy online due to its obscure nature. Coretta Scott’s own cousin ridiculed the memorial, saying it looks lewd from some angles, rather than “a special moment shared by the iconic couple.” The statue is supposed to show the civil rights couple hugging each other in a famous photo known as “the embrace.”

Andrew Tate’s Assets Seized By Romania, Report Indicates

Romanian law enforcement officials have reportedly seized millions of dollars worth of assets from a Bucharest compound belonging to former kickboxer and social media influencer Andrew Tate amid their sex trafficking investigation into him. Romania’s National Agency for the Administration of Seized Assets said it seized more than a dozen high-end vehicles. Tate was detained along with his brother Tristan Tate and two other individuals in an investigation into allegations of organized crime, human trafficking, and rape.

 Most Wanted Man In Italy Arrested

Italian authorities announced Monday that Matteo Messina Denaro, a mafia boss nicknamed “The Devil,” and considered the most wanted man in Italy, was finally arrested at a hospital and taken to a secret location. Messina Denaro has been accused of dozens of murders, including the strangulation of a pregnant woman.
