‘Eunuch maker’ appears in London court

A man accused of carrying out and broadcasting castrations on his ‘eunuch maker’ website has appeared in a London court.

Marius Gustavson, 45, was arrested on Wednesday, alongside eight other men accused of removing the penises and testicles of willing victims and having the procedures filmed for paying subscribers.

Gustavson, who is originally from Norway, is accused of being the ringleader. According to Sky News, he is being charged with five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, as well as making and distributing an indecent image of a child.

London’s Metropolitan Police said that the charges being brought against the accused men relate to 13 victims, with the alleged crimes taking place between 2016 and 2022, earning the men approximately £200 000.

Sky News reports that the accused are said to be part of a subculture in which people willingly undergo ‘extreme body modification’ such as, in this instance, becoming ‘nullos’ (short for genital nullification).

Gustavson himself appears to have embraced the subculture. The Westminster Magistrates’ Court was informed on Wednesday, when Gustavson appeared in a wheelchair, that he had had his own penis, leg and nipple removed.

None of the accused have entered a plea. They are expected to appear at the Old Bailey next month.
