Die NachDenkSeiten-Gemeinschaft – Vielleicht ist „Familie“ ein übertriebener Begriff, aber die zugrunde liegende Idee ist von Bedeutung

Renate Schoof and Wolfgang Bittner, who are probably well known to many readers through Dr. Wolfgang Bittner’s literary works, introduced the term „NachDenkSeiten family“ in a greeting for the 20th anniversary. Not entirely without reason, as one could feel at the 20-year celebration „Documentation of the 20-year celebration of the NachDenkSeiten. A successful party!“ in Bad Bergzabern. The underlying idea is obvious: today we are all exposed to massive opinion-making and propaganda; alone, we can hardly defend ourselves against it. In addition, the substantive debate within the parties has shrunk to almost nothing. In this situation, it is helpful to be able to exchange ideas with other people at least. This was the thought and motivation behind the suggestion to our readers to join discussion groups. Albrecht Müller. There are now well over 100 discussion groups – in Germany and in eleven other countries. Some are dormant, some are active. In many places, the discussion about the problems of our time has started through these discussion groups. This is good for each individual. This is also good for the quality of democratic debate. If you live in the area of one of the discussion groups listed in this list, then just take a look. And please do not be disappointed if the discussion group you have chosen is not active. We cannot and do not want to centrally control the activities of the discussion groups. But we know that many of the listed discussion groups meet the need for personal exchange in conversation. They meet regularly. They engage in lively debates and invite interesting conversation partners. By the way: The discussion groups are supervised by Anette Sorg. We will support such a step by publishing the corresponding data, i.e. the address and contact person. On the NachDenkSeiten you will always find interesting suggestions for your conversations. This leads to very productive conversations, both with younger contemporaries who do not yet know your site, and to pleasant encounters with people who appreciate the NDS and approach us as if we were family members. Renate Schoof und Wolfgang Bittner, vermutlich vielen Lesern bekannt durch Dr. Wolfgang Bittners schriftstellerische Arbeiten, hatten in einem Grußwort zum 20-Jährigen den Begriff NachDenkSeiten-Familie eingeführt. Nicht ganz zu Unrecht, wie man bei der 20-Jahr-Feier „Dokumentation zur 20-Jahr-Feier der NachDenkSeiten. Ein gelungenes Fest!” in Bad Bergzabern spüren konnte. Der dahintersteckende Gedanke liegt nahe: Wir alle sind heute massiver Meinungsmache und Propaganda ausgesetzt; allein können wir uns dagegen kaum wehren. Außerdem ist die inhaltliche Debatte in den Parteien gegen Null zusammengeschrumpft. In dieser Situation ist es hilfreich, sich wenigstens mit anderen Menschen austauschen zu können.
