ASISA warnt vor Investitionsabschreckung
Die Verpflichtung im ANC-Manifest, vorgeschriebene Vermögenswerte einzuführen, um Renten- und andere Fonds zur Investition in staatseigene Unternehmen und von der Regierung geführte Infrastrukturprojekte zu zwingen, ist laut der Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA) „nicht mit einer offenen Wirtschaft gleichzusetzen“ und würde „Investitionen abschrecken“. Bedenken als übertrieben abgetan
Während Zuko Godlimpi, stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Wirtschaftspolitik-Formulierungsausschusses des ANC, Bedenken als alarmistisch abtat, erklärte ASISA in Antwort auf Fragen der Business Times: „Die Vorgabe eines Mindestniveaus an Investitionen in bestimmte Vermögenswerte ist nicht die beste globale Praxis. Vorschrift ist nicht mit einer offenen Wirtschaft gleichzusetzen, die attraktive Investitionsmöglichkeiten fördern sollte, und würde Investitionen tatsächlich abschrecken.“
