Congressman Who Once Worried Guam Would Capsize Compares Concerned Parents to January 6
Representative Hank Johnson, who once expressed concern that stationing 8,000 Marines on Guam would cause the island to „tip over and capsize,“ compared concerned parents attending school board meetings to January 6 in a bizarre rant.
Johnson’s comments were made at a meeting to discuss H. Res. 1238, which requested Biden provide the House with certain documents relating to the infamous October 4, 2021 „terrorist parents at school board meetings“ memorandum issued by AG Merrick Garland.
Johnson said during the hearing; „January 6, 2021, will never be forgotten, an infamous day in American history. MAGA Republicans descended upon the Capitol, engaged in an insurrection. They occupied the Capitol. Five people were killed, hundreds injured, including hundreds of Capitol Hill police officers attacked and bludgeoned. It was a day that we’ll never forget.“
He’s lying about those who died of course to imply that they were killed by the protesters. The only people that actually died on January 6 were Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by Capitol Police, and another Trump supporter named Rosanne Boyland is reported to have died of a drug overdose. All deaths of Capitol Police officers in the aftermath were by natural causes (such as in the case of Brian Sicknick) or suicides.
Johnson continued; „And people on the local level at affected school board meetings, they won’t forget the MAGA Republicans descending on their school board meetings after January 6, like January 6, disrupting meetings. It was a coordinated attack happening across the country. Americans won’t forget about it. School board members, teachers, administrators, subjected to violence, threats of violence, harassment, intimidation.“
